Behari Boti recepie
Ingredients:
- 1 kg boneless beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons papaya paste
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- 1/4 teaspoon mace powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the beef, fried onions.., lemon juice, papaya paste, mustard oil, yogurt, ginger-..garlic paste, red chili powder,.. turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, nutmeg powder, and mace powder. Mix well to coat the beef.....
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight....
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Skewer the beef cubes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through....
- Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce....
Tips:
- For a more authentic flavor, you can use Bihari spices, which are a blend of spices that are typically used in Bihari cuisine....
- If you don't have papaya paste, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of papaya enzyme powder....
- You can also grill the beef skewers instead of baking them....
- Serve the Behari Boti with naan, rice, or roti...
