Behari Boti recepie

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg boneless beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup fried onions
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons papaya paste
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the beef, fried onions.., lemon juice, papaya paste, mustard oil, yogurt, ginger-..garlic paste, red chili powder,.. turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, nutmeg powder, and mace powder. Mix well to coat the beef.....
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight....
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  4. Skewer the beef cubes and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through....
  6. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce....

Tips:

  • For a more authentic flavor, you can use Bihari spices, which are a blend of spices that are typically used in Bihari cuisine....
  • If you don't have papaya paste, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of papaya enzyme powder....
  • You can also grill the beef skewers instead of baking them....
  • Serve the Behari Boti with naan, rice, or roti...
