Prown Tempura Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound.. large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup ..all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup.. cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon ..salt
- 1/4 teaspoon.. black pepper
- 1 egg..lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup..ice water
- Vegetable oil.. for deep-frying
Instructions:-
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour., cornstarch..salt.. and pepper....
- In a separate bowl.. whisk together the egg and ice water until well combined....
- Dip the prawns in the flour mixture to coat all over...
- Dip the prawns in the egg mixture.. then back into the flour mixture to coat again...
- Heat the oil in a deep heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat until a breadcrumb sizzles and turns brown when dropped into it....
- Carefully add the prawns to the hot oil in batches and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through...
- Remove the prawns from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels...
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce....
Tips:-
- Use cold ingredients to make the batter. This will help the batter stay light and crispy....
- Do not overcrowd the pan when frying the prawns. This will lower the temperature of the oil and the prawns will not cook evenly.
- Serve the prawn tempura immediately. This will ensure that it is crispy and delicious....
