Chicken Manchurian
"Ingredients"
- 250g boneless.. skinless chicken breast cut into small cubes
- 1 egg white ..lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons.. cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon.. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon.. ginger garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon.. soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon.. salt
- 1/4 teaspoon.. black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon.. red chili powder (optional)
- Oil for deep frying...
For the sauce:
- 1 tablespoon.. vegetable oil
- 1/2 onion.. chopped
- 2 cloves garlic.. minced
- 1 red bell pepper..chopped
- 1 tablespoon.. tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons..chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon.. soy sauce
- 1/4 cup.. chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch slurry (1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water)
- Salt to taste..

- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken in batches and fry until golden brown and cooked through...
- Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels...
- To make the sauce, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened...
- Add the bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes more...
- Add the tomato ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, chicken stock, and cornstarch slurry. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened..

Tips:-
- For a spicier dish, add more red chili powder...
- You can also add other vegetables to the sauce, such as carrots, broccoli, or mushrooms...
- If you don't have cornstarch slurry, you can dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water...
- Serve the chicken Manchurian with some chopped spring onions for garnish...
