Chicken sashlick Recipe
"Ingredients"
- 1 pound boneless..skinless chicken breasts..cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup.. plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons... soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon... Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon... lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon... ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon... paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon... ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon... cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 onion...chopped
- 1 green bell pepper.. chopped
- 1 red bell pepper..chopped
Instructions:
- In a large bowl.. combine the chicken, yogurt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.... Mix well to coat the chicken....
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes..or up to overnight.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat....
- Add the chicken and marinade to the skillet and cook...stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes....
- Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes....
- Serve the chicken shashlik immediately.
Tips:-
- For a smoky flavor, you can grill the chicken shashlik instead of cooking it in a skillet..
- If you don't have any vegetable oil, you can use olive oil or canola oil instead...
- You can also add other vegetables to the chicken shashlik, such as mushrooms, zucchini, or carrots....
- Serve the chicken shashlik with rice...pita bread.. or naan....
