Chicken sashlick Recipe

 


"Ingredients"

  • 1 pound boneless..skinless chicken breasts..cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup.. plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons... soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon... Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon... lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon... ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon... paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon... ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon... cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 onion...chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper.. chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper..chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl.. combine the chicken, yogurt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.... Mix well to coat the chicken....
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes..or up to overnight.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat....
  4. Add the chicken and marinade to the skillet and cook...stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes....
  5. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes....
  6. Serve the chicken shashlik immediately.

Tips:-

  • For a smoky flavor, you can grill the chicken shashlik instead of cooking it in a skillet..
  • If you don't have any vegetable oil, you can use olive oil or canola oil instead...
  • You can also add other vegetables to the chicken shashlik, such as mushrooms, zucchini, or carrots....
  • Serve the chicken shashlik with rice...pita bread.. or naan....
