Ingredients:

  • 1kg chicken wings, tips removed
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the chicken wings.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat.
  4. Transfer the chicken wings to a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Baste the chicken wings with the sauce every 10 minutes while they are baking.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a crispier skin, you can bake the chicken wings on a wire rack instead of a baking sheet.
  • If you want to make the wings ahead of time, you can bake them and then store them in the refrigerator. Reheat them in a 350 degree F (175 degrees C) oven for 15 minutes before serving.
  • You can adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your taste. If you don't like spicy food, you can omit the cayenne pepper altogether.

How to get marinade to stick to wings:

  • The key to getting marinade to stick to wings is to make sure the wings are dry before you apply the marinade. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  • You can also use a flour dredge to help the marinade stick to the wings. Simply whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture before applying the marinade.
  • Let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight. This will give the flavors time to penetrate the chicken.

How to get flour to stick to chicken wings:

  • The key to getting flour to stick to chicken wings is to make sure the chicken is wet before you apply the flour. You can do this by dipping the chicken in a mixture of egg and milk, or by brushing the chicken with water.
  • You can also use a seasoned flour dredge to help the flour stick to the chicken. Simply whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of your favorite seasonings. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture before frying.
